Celtics guard Marcus Smart claimed a Nuggets fan told him to “get on your knees” after he slid into courtside seats chasing after a loose ball during Friday night’s game at the Pepsi Center.
“My foot got stuck in a chair and a fan told me, ‘That’s right stay on the ground, get on your knees,'” Smart said after the game.
The Nuggets won the game 96-92 after staving off a desperate Celtics rally.
Afterward, Smart expressed displeasure when asked about arena security’s response to the altercation during a postgame interview.
“I told (security) who it was,” Smart said.
