Former Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession

Former Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried, now with the Brooklyn Nets, was arrested Sunday and charged with being in possession of marijuana, according to 27east.com, a news site for The Hamptons in New York.

Faried, 28, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. on Montauk Highway and charged with a misdemeanor — fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Southhampton Town Police told 27east.com that Faried was a rear passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint. Upon inspection, he “was found to be in possession of more than two ounces of marijuana.”

Two others — Taurean Knuckles, 33, and Atar Hajali, 25 — were in the car and were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, according to ESPN.
