Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson is being held in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the second time in six months he has been arrested on such allegations.
Lawson is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail at the Los Angeles County Jail, records show.
Jail records show he was arrested about 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Los Angeles police say he was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP could not immediately be reached Tuesday morning.
Lawson was arrested in January in Denver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after he was pulled over traveling 61 mph in a 35 mph zone on Park Avenue West, according to a Denver police report.
