COLORADO SPRINGS — As the Denver Nuggets move closer to the start of the 2017-18 regular season, they traveled South Friday for a rare open scrimmage at Fort Carson.
The Blue team, which featured the Nuggets’ projected starters, beat the White team 84-65. Here are seven observations from the scrimmage.
1. Lineup notes. The point guard running with the rest of the starting lineup (Nikola Jokic, Paul Millsap, Wilson Chandler and Gary Harris) was Jamal Murray, who also got the start in Denver’s preseason finale against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jameer Nelson also got some minutes with the starting group, and played a stretch alongside Murray, who shifted to shooting guard.
