Nuggets NBA Draft Rumors You Need To Know

The 2015 NBA Draft is just under three weeks away, which means it’s time to separate the fiction from the fact when it comes to the Denver Nuggets' #7 pick. Here’s our list of 3 Nuggets NBA Draft Rumors You Need To Know.

Denver targeting Justise Winslow?

NBA teams are enamored with Duke swingman Justise Winslow's all-around game, and the Nuggets are hoping he falls to them at #7. One NBA executive said that if Winslow falls to the Nuggets at No. 7, "you've got to take Winslow. That's a freakin' steal," per ESPN.com's Jeff Goodman.

Winslow is great at attacking the rim, and displayed excellent defense and an improved jump shot at Duke that had scouts drooling. His elite strength and athleticism gives him the versatility to play several different positions on the floor, something the Nuggets covet.

Nuggets plan to fix defense by drafting Willie Cauley-Stein?

Denver's defense finished 26th in the league, according to Basketball Reference, and will probably be looking to upgrade that in the draft. The best defensive prospect is Kentucky center Willie Cauley-Stein, whose athleticism and ability to play above the rim would make him a perfect complement to Jusef Nurkic.

The Nuggets have yet to name a head coach, but whoever they hire will likely make fixing Denver's defense their top priority.
