Plenty of mock drafts have the Broncos going for an Alabama player with the No. 15 pick. But, for the most part, it’s been either receivers Jerry Jeudy or Henry Ruggs III.
NFL Network analytics expert Cynthia Frelund unveiled her NFL mock draft on Wednesday and has Denver selecting Crimson Tide safety Xavier McKinney.
“McKinney is multi-talented — the type of safety who profiles well in a Vic Fangio defense that will require him to perform a number of roles. McKinney has experience playing nickel linebacker and is an effective blitzer,” Frelund writes.
The mock draft isn’t based on what she thinks teams will actually do, she writes.
