Consider it an exclamation point to Aqib Talib’s season, a career year. In the Broncos’ regular-season finale against the Raiders on Sunday afternoon, Talib ripped the gold chain off receiver Michael Crabtree’s neck in the first quarter.
Talib was not flagged but was all smiles after the play. Crabtree not so much.
Earlier this season, Talib shoved teammate Jordan Norwood after he muffed a second punt against the Chiefs, started a brawl in Tennessee by fighting with receiver Harry Douglas, whom he later threatened to beat up, and got into a locker-room shouting match with tackle Russell Okung.
