Vic Fangio evaluates Drew Lock’s “good two-week start to his career” as the rookie quarterback prepares for homecoming test in Kansas City

Vic Fangio, always straightforward and measured in his evaluation of players, sees Drew Lock‘s first couple games from a dual perspective.

On one side, there’s no denying the promise the rookie quarterback possesses as the Broncos won their first two games with him at the helm. On the other side, as the coach has said several times, Fangio isn’t ready to put Lock into Canton quite yet.

“I thought he played much better (Sunday in Houston) than he did the week before (against the Chargers),” Fangio said. “His passing was more accurate and more crisp than the week before, and he made some plays with his legs, which was good.
