The Broncos will have a veteran quarterback in town this weekend on a tryout basis.
Desmond Ridder, a 2022 third-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons, is set to take part in the team’s rookie minicamp weekend as a tryout player, a source with knowledge of the arrangement confirmed Tuesday to The Denver Post.
Ridder, 25, started 48 games at the University of Cincinnati before being selected by the Falcons. He started 17 games over two seasons there and then spent 2024 with Las Vegas. There, he appeared in six games and started one.
Ridder has an 8-10 mark as a starter in the NFL and has thrown for 4,002 yards to go along with 16 touchdowns against 14 interceptions.
