Vance Joseph rounds out Broncos coaching staff with assistant hires; expected to retain Klint Kubiak

Vance Joseph continues to fill in his coaching staff in Denver and on Tuesday announced that Chris Gould will be promoted to special teams assistant coach, pairing him with newly hired special teams coordinator Brock Olivo.

Gould joined the Broncos as part of Gary Kubiak‘s staff in 2015 as a special teams quality control coach and, over the last two years, has worked closely with kicker Brandon McManus. In their time together, McManus had made 59 of 69 field goals (85.5 percent) and scored 244 total points, seventh-most in the NFL.

Before arriving in Denver, Gould, the younger brother of veteran kicker Robbie Gould, was a special teams quality control coach at Syracuse, where he helped develop future Broncos punter Riley Dixon from 2013-14.
