T.J. Ward signed a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday and opened up to local media about his departure from the Broncos.
“It’s unfortunate the way they handled that situation,” Ward said. “But it is what it is. They got to live with it. I got to live with it, and we’ll see what happens. But I’m going to make sure I land on my feet. That’s just me. And whatever happens to them, happens to them. That’s on them.”
The Broncos released Ward on Saturday after he had spent three seasons with the team, earning a pair of Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl 50 ring as a leader of the No Fly Zone secondary.
