GREEN BAY, Wis. — Todd Davis‘ 267-day wait is over.
Sunday’s result just didn’t line up with how the Broncos’ veteran inside linebacker envisioned his 2019 debut.
“I wanted to go out there and make a big splash,” Davis said. “I wasn’t able to do that.”
Davis suffered a calf injury on the first day of Broncos training camp and had not played since December 30 in the regular-season finale last year. On Sunday, Davis started against the Packers and finished with three tackles in a 27-16 loss.
“I didn’t see any ill-effects of the injury,” coach Vic Fangio said.
