The Broncos are expected to hire San Francisco 49ers offensive assistant T.C. McCartney as their new quarterbacks coach.
As of Tuesday night, McCartney had not signed a contract, but had interviewed with the Broncos, a source said, confirming a report by The Athletic.
McCartney, 29, is the grandson of former Colorado coach Bill McCartney and the son of late CU quarterback Sal Aunese.
For the last two years T.C. McCartney was on the same 49ers staff as new Broncos offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello. The 49ers went outside the organization for Scangarello’s replacement, hiring former Miami Dolphins tight ends coach Shane Day.
