Sunday’s Denver Broncos game to feature small children riding sheep gone wild

To give fans something to be happy about during Sunday’s football game, small children will hang on for their lives atop sheep running wild at Broncos Stadium at Mile High.

The spectacle, known as mutton busting, has ties to Denver’s National Western Stock Show and will be kicked off at halftime of the Denver Broncos-Los Angeles Chargers game, which starts at 2:25 p.m.

Brave little ones ages 5 to 7 and under 50 pounds will mount charging sheep.

“Anything goes as contestants hold on as long as they can,” the Denver Broncos organization says in a news release about the event.
