Ryan Howard, Ryan Zimmerman sue al-Jazeera; Peyton Manning to decide after season

Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman and Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard filed defamation lawsuits against al-Jazeera America, reporter Deborah Davies and former hurdler Liam Collins on Wednesday for publishing what they called "outrageously false and defamatory statements" in a documentary about doping in sports.

Zimmerman and Howard, two of many athletes named in "The Dark Side," were alleged by Charles Sly to have taken the performance-enhancing drug Delta 2.

Sly, who recanted his comments in the documentary via a video statement, also said in the documentary that the wife of Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, Ashley Manning, received shipments of human growth hormone from an anti-aging clinic in Indianapolis, where Peyton was a patient.
