Earlier in the week, it was reported that former third-round pick Desmond Ridder would participate in the Broncos' rookie minicamp as a veteran tryout. However, he reportedly backed out due to a scheduling conflict and has replaced him with former Saints fourth-round pick, quarterback Ian Book.
Book was a fourth-round pick by the Saints back in 2021, Payton’s last season with the team, and now will reunite with him in Denver at least for this weekend during their rookie minicamp.
