According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis, second-year Denver Broncos linebacker Drew Sanders has suffered a torn Achilles.

Klis notes that Sanders tore his Achilles early into the offseason program and before the draft. The former third-round selection was expected to move to edge rusher this season but the team still decided to draft Utah’s Jonah Elliss in the third round of the draft. This selection seemed strange with Sanders expected to play there but now it does make a bit more sense.
