Public helps catch man accused of stealing $400 Broncos helmet from team practice

Authorities in Arapahoe County have cited a man in the July theft of a Denver Broncos helmet worth hundreds of dollars that was stolen from a team practice.

Vincente Baros, 33, of Arvada, was issued a summons in the case, the county sheriff’s office announced Thursday,

The theft happened about 3:15 p.m. on July 31 during an autograph-signing session after Broncos practice.

The helmet — a Riddell Revolution Speed Classic clearly marked with the Denver Broncos logo and valued at more than $400 — was sitting on the ground next to the player, who hasn’t been identified.
