Broncos coach Gary Kubiak tries to balance performance, rest and evaluation in training camp. While reaching the starting line healthy Sept. 13 remains paramount, he needs to see the players work together.
Running back C.J. Anderson and the young offensive lineman will play at least 10 to 12 plays together in the preseason opener at Seattle. How many of those plays quarterback Peyton Manning will be in there remained under discussion Wednesday.
"I think you always like to be in there. You do. Certainly, when the coach tells us — I think (Wednesday night), maybe (Thursday) — you accept that," Manning said.
