Hours after blitzing the Jets into submission and extending their record to 7-0 on the season, the Patriots on Tuesday morning have addressed an issue many saw as a glaring weakness.
According to multiple reports Tuesday morning and first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Patriots have acquired Mohamed Sanu from the Atlanta Falcons for a second-round pick on 2020.
Sanu played college football at Rutgers with the McCourty brothers and wit defensive coach Steve Belichick.
He has 33 catches for 313 yards and one touchdown this year for the struggling Falcons, who are now just 1-6 on the season, making them clear sellers before next Tuesday’s trade deadline.
