John Bowlen, son of Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, arrested on harassment charge

John Bowlen, the son of Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, was arrested Wednesday night in Glendale on domestic violence charges, records show.

Bowlen, 29, is being held at the Arapahoe County jail in lieu of bail ahead of a 2 p.m. first court appearance in the case.

Bowlen is being held on suspicion of third-degree assault and harassment, two Class 3 misdemeanors.

Bowlen, a corporate partnerships coordinator for the Broncos, is a candidate to take over the team after his father, who is suffering from Alzheimer's, announced in July he would relinquish his duties and look to transfer ownership to one of his seven children.
