Horse Tracks: Former Broncos Head Coach Mike Shanahan believes that Kirk Cousins is a special player

There has been much debate about whether or not impending free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins is a good quarterback or a “special player”. Recently former Washington General Manager Scot McCloughan said: “I don’t see a special player” when asked about Cousins.

Well, former Broncos and Washington Head Coach Mike Shanahan whom drafted Cousins and preferred over Robert Griffin III called bollocks on that statement when speaking to the New York Daily News.

“There’s no question in my mind that he’s a special player, If you don’t think he’s a special player, that means you don’t watch him practice very often.
