After getting his starting center on Friday in LSU’s Lloyd Cushenberry, John Elway fortified the offensive line again Saturday with the selection of Fresno State guard Netane Muti in the sixth round at No. 181 overall.
Muti was team captain as a junior in 2019 but saw his season end after three games due to a Lisfranc foot injury. He’s played in just five games over the past two seasons, as a ruptured Achilles ended his 2018 season.
The 6-foot-3, 307-pounder was born in the Polynesian sovereign state, Tonga, in the South Pacific, and played high school football in Hawaii.
