Former Broncos quarterback’s son connected to fatal hit and run in Louisiana

The son of a former Denver Broncos quarterback was arrested Wednesday morning in Louisiana in connection with a fatal hit-and-run traffic crash.

Walter Andrew Brister IV turned himself in Wednesday morning to Baton Rouge police, said his attorney John McLindon. Brister was booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of felony hit and run driving, according to a Wednesday news release from the Baton Rouge Police Department.

McLindon said he hopes his client is released on bond later Wednesday.

Brister was driving a black Ranger Rover SUV when he allegedly struck a pedestrian, who was crossing the street in the 500 block of Ben Hur Road, according to a Sunday news release from the Baton Rouge Police Department.
