All throughout their history the Denver Broncos have had great running backs. Two of them are enshrined in Canton or football royalty. Others put themselves in the NFL’s category of some of the most underrated or under-appreciated running backs in the league. It is a shame players like Terrell Davis and Floyd Little do not force people to look deeper at the crop of running backs to come through the system.
The big prevailing theme with many of these players is the word "system". Mike Shanahan’s run scheme is well documented in the NFL circles to where anyone inserted into the lineup at halfback would be successful.
