Denver Broncos shorten RB group, release Khalfani Muhammad

Running back Khalfani Muhammad’s odds of making the Denver Broncos 53-man roster have become 0.0%.

The Broncos have released Muhammad as part of their cut down to the 53-man roster limit, per Ryan O’Halloran.

Muhammad had looked flashy at times during the preseason. He recorded 146 rushing yards on 31 rushes, as well as one touchdown during the preseason.

The move comes as somewhat of a surprise, given all of the noise about the potential move of Devontae Booker, either through release of a trade. There are going to be more moves made by the Broncos to cut down to 53 players, so we will see what happens.
