The Denver Broncos have a chance to have one of the league's best duos at the running back position following the free-agent signing of Melvin Gordon. The Broncos gave Gordon a two-year, $16 million deal.
Though the team has a shiny new toy in the backfield, it can't forget about what Phillip Lindsay has brought to the team. Recently, John Elway has suggested that a pay increase could be in store for Lindsay.
The Broncos are not obligated to give Lindsay a new deal. He is already under contract for the 2020 season and is scheduled to become a restricted free agent in 2021.
