Denver Broncos general manager John Elway has been a master in free agency, but the NFL Draft has been a much more difficult game for him to play.
Though Elway has hit on plenty of draft picks for the Denver Broncos, he’s got a much better track record finding players in the later rounds or getting guys with great value versus hitting on his day two selections.
Elway’s ability to find players in the later rounds of the draft and even in undrafted free agency along with some of the stars he’s drafted and signed with more valuable assets have helped the Broncos put together two AFC Championship seasons since he came aboard, five division titles, and one Super Bowl title.
