Compensatory picks are rewarded to teams that lost some key players during free agency the previous year. The Denver Broncos are not going to have any for April’s draft.
The NFL announced the compensatory picks for each team. The Broncos are not on the list.
Denver lost quarterback Brock Osweiler, wide receiver Cody Latimer, tight end Virgil Green, and linebacker Corey Nelson last offseason. That didn’t prompt the NFL to give the team compensatory picks.
Compensatory picks begin at the end third round through the seventh round.
The Broncos currently hold eight picks for the 2019 NFL Draft.
