The Broncos on Wednesday selected safety David Bruton as their Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award recipient for his “outstanding leadership both on the field and in the community.”
The Broncos also recognized four players — defensive end Kenny Anunike, tight end Virgil Green, cornerback Chris Harris and inside linebacker Brandon Marshall — as Community Ambassador Award winners. Cornerback Taurean Nixon was named the team’s Community Rookie of the Year.
In April, Bruton launched his namesake foundation and the Bruton’s Books program, with Mile High United Way, to promote youth literacy.
