INDIANAPOLIS — Tulsa defensive end/outside linebacker Trevis Gipson attended Cedar Hill High School in Texas, located about six miles from DeSoto High, the alma mater of Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller.
That proximity has created a connection between Gipson and Miller.
In the Tulsa media guide, Gipson listed Miller as his favorite player and last summer Miller invited Gipson to attend his pass-rush summit in Las Vegas.
“Just being around him and (the Rams’) Aaron Donald and all those guys was a great blessing and it wouldn’t have happened without Von,” Gipson said here this week at the scouting combine.
