CBS announces ratings increase for Sunday’s NFL coverage

CBS announced Tuesday that it’s overall game coverage Sunday, which included the Broncos’ loss to the Bills in Buffalo, was up 4 percent from last year’s Week 3 coverage. The network’s coverage averaged a rating/share of 11.9/25 (vs. 11.4/23 last year) in metered markets, meaning 11.9 percent of all household televisions were tuned into CBS’ NFL coverage Sunday and, of those televisions in use, 25 percent were turned in.

The regional window of 11 a.m. MT, the Broncos-Bills kickoff time, generated an average overnight rating/share of 10.0/22, up 11 percent from last year’s Week 3.

The NFL Today also posted it’s best rating/share since 2010 with an overnight household rating/share of 3.
