There’s no better way to endear yourself to Broncos Country than by beating a division rival.
Rookie quarterback Drew Lock did just that in his first NFL start, leading Denver to a 23-20 win over the visiting Chargers. He got off to a roaring start, completing two touchdown passes to Courtland Sutton in the first quarter. While his final line isn’t something to write home about — 18 of 28 for 134 yards — he tallied the most important stat: a “W.”
