SAN DIEGO – Maybe the Super Bowl hangover, that one the Denver Broncos said they didn’t have, was just tardy, a little late to the after-party.
The Broncos sorely missed coach Gary Kubiak and they have a losing streak to bring home. Between now and an Oct. 24 Monday Night Football appearance against the Houston Texans, the rather substantial mess the Broncos made in a 21-13 loss to the San Diego Chargers Thursday night at Qualcomm Stadium will need to be cleaned up.
After spending Sunday night in the hospital, Kubiak was advised by doctors to stay home for a week.
