The Broncos ran 149 plays from scrimmage against Chicago and Green Bay … but scored three touchdowns. Yes, the offense is moving the football but the lack of chunk plays is forcing drives of at least 12 snaps, which limits the number of possessions in a game and leaves a smaller margin for mistakes. The Broncos’ 38 carries marked only the 20th regulation loss in team history with that many carries. Phillip Lindsay got untracked (21 carries-81 yards), but three turnovers for a team like the Broncos at this stage will undo any good work.
