As the Broncos have endured a rash of injuries at fullback, they’ve turned to the free-agent market for an old familiar.
The organization has signed fullback Adam Prentice, a source confirmed to The Denver Post Sunday. The corresponding roster move is not immediately clear but doesn’t involve an IR move or injury-designation cut for starting fullback Michael Burton or hybrid tight end Nate Adkins, the source said.
The Broncos are still waiting on a public injury designation for guard Nick Garguilo, who suffered a gruesome leg injury and was carted off in Saturday night’s preseason game.
