The Broncos and Sean Payton are reuniting with a familiar face.
Denver has signed wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey off the New York Giants’ practice squad, agent Jimmy Gould confirmed to The Denver Post on Wednesday. Humphrey spent two years with the Broncos between 2023 and 2024 as a key run-blocker in Payton’s offense, and caught a career-best 31 passes for 293 yards in 2024.
Gould told The Post that Broncos general manager George Paton called him on Wednesday morning and said Humphrey’s excited about the reunion with Denver and Payton, who also coached Humphrey for two seasons with the New Orleans Saints.
