Broncos search for ways to solve third-quarter offensive woes

The Broncos’ offense should look at the bright side when being asked about their third-quarter struggles: The questions could be about game-long scoring issues.

Instead, the Broncos have semi-solved their first-half woes, scoring 17 points apiece against Jacksonville and the Los Angeles Chargers in the past two games.

But entering Sunday’s game against Tennessee, the Broncos know a half day’s work offensively won’t help them dig out of their current 4-1 hole. The Broncos’ 12 third-quarter points are 26th in the NFL and they were shut out by Green Bay, the Jaguars and the Chargers in that period.
