Broncos safety Su’a Cravens shows range, physicality in Denver debut

Arizona quarterback Mike Glennon floated the football into the near flat Thursday night in Arizona, and on the other end of a reception by running back Elijhaa Penny was about 20 months of pent-up aggression courtesy of Broncos safety Su’a Cravens.

He delivered a hit so lethal it unbuckled his chin strap and sent his Broncos helmet rolling out of bounds to the feet of Denver teammates. Cravens couldn’t help but smile later in the locker room afterward. He last played in an NFL game in December 2016. Finally, a big hit.

“It’s been a long time coming,” he said.
