Broncos safety Justin Simmons has small wrist fracture, hopes to play vs. Bengals

Last Sunday’s game against Indianapolis wasn’t kind to the Broncos regarding injuries. They lost outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware for at least a month, right tackle Donald Stephenson for at least this week against Cincinnati and tight end Virgil Green is day-to-day.

Broncos rookie safety Justin Simmons’ left wrist injury suffered Sunday against the Colts went under the radar. He said he underwent a CT scan and it was determined that he had a small fracture in his wrist.

His hope is to play Sunday against Cincinnati with a club covering the soft cast that he’s been wearing on his left hand since Monday.
