Donald Stephenson received relatively good news Monday morning when his magnetic resonance imaging exam revealed he did not suffer a tear in his left calf, according to an NFL source. The Broncos’ starting right tackle is likely to miss two to three weeks of action with the injury, but a return in October is probable.
Stephenson injured his calf during the first quarter of the Broncos’ 34-20 victory over the Colts on Sunday afternoon. He said he believed it happened when he was accidentally kicked by running back C.J. Anderson on a 2-yard rush to the right side.
