Broncos Review: A by-the-numbers look at the offense in 2019

When saying offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello would return in 2020, Broncos coach Vic Fangio cited Scangarello’s “good” working relationship with quarterback Drew Lock as a positive.

“I think the results, although they weren’t record-setting, were good,” Fangio said of the Scangarello-Lock tandem.

Nothing about the Broncos’ offense was record-setting during their 7-9 season. They finished 26th or worse in yards per game, yards per play, passing yards per game, third-down conversion rate, red zone touchdown rate and scoring.

But led by Lock’s 4-1 debut, there were some good things, too. Here is a statistical look at the Broncos’ offense:
