Broncos report card: Denver’s resilience ends in frustration against Chiefs

What started as a disaster turned into the Broncos’ best offensive outing of the season. Quarterback Russell Wilson threw three touchdowns for the first time in his tenure as a Bronco. Jerry Jeudy hauled in three touchdowns – two from Wilson and one from Brett Rypien in the fourth quarter after Wilson suffered a concussion – and Marlon Mack scored on a 66-yard screen pass. On the bad side of the ledger, Wilson was sacked six times and he and Rypien each threw an interception. Wilson’s was returned for a touchdown that put Kansas City up 27-0. Denver finished with 320 yards and 28 points despite playing without top receiver Courtland Sutton and left guard Dalton Risner in addition to all of the other injuries suffered in previous weeks.
