Broncos, Paxton Lynch finalizing four-year deal

The Broncos are locking up their quarterback of the future.

Paxton Lynch’s agent Leigh Steinberg said on Twitter that he is traveling to Denver Thursday to finalize a four-year contract for Lynch which will include a fifth-year team option.

Lynch, the No. 26 pick, is slotted to make $9.5 million over four years. In contrast, the Texans signed former Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler to a four-year, $72 million contract in March.

Steelers cornerback Artie Burns, the No. 25 pick, signed a four-year deal Wednesday which led the way for Lynch’s deal to get done.

Lynch, who has been working with the third-team offense in mini camp this week, is in a battle with Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian for the Broncos starting quarterback job.
