Broncos offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur talks play-calling philosophy, Drew Lock and more

Pat Shurmur was officially introduced as the Broncos’ fifth offensive coordinator in as many years Thursday in Dove Valley, after he was announced as the team’s new play-caller on Jan. 14.

The Broncos will be Shurmur’s fourth offensive coordinator gig, following St. Louis, Philadelphia and Minnesota. He is known for working with quarterbacks such as Donovan McNabb, Sam Bradford, Nick Foles, Case Keenum and Daniel Jones during that time.

The 54-year-old was the Giants head coach the past two years, posting a 9-23 record before being fired Dec. 30. Shurmur also spent two years as the head coach in Cleveland, and has seven years of play-calling experience on his resume.
