John Elway stepped up to a microphone inside the Broncos’ auditorium Monday to face the music.
Denver’s general manager/president of football operations stood in the same team facility two years earlier to introduce Vance Joseph as the Broncos’ coach. He returned on New Year’s Eve to explain why he fired Joseph and what lies ahead.
“The first guy I look at is the guy in the mirror, that’s me,” Elway said. “I’m just as responsible for this, if not more than anybody else, because it’s my job to make sure we win more football games.
