MOBILE, Ala. — During a break in today’s Senior Bowl activities, Broncos general manager John Elway met with two reporters to discuss several topics.
Some highlights:
- Since Elway met the media on Dec. 30, the Broncos fired offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello and quickly moved to hire Pat Shurmur, formerly the New York Giants’ coach.
What was intriguing about adding Shurmur?
“I think his experience and the success he’s had,” Elway said. “He’s been a coordinator at a lot of different spots and his background (in) play-calling — he has a lot of experience there, too.
