The key takeaway from this interview was how well Head Coach Vic Fangio and his staff game planned to slow down Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense. Sure, they gave up yards, but that was by design. Keep them out of the end zone and then use the rushing attack to keep the ball out of Mahomes hands.
The game plan worked for most of the game, but it came down to a few key miscues that a team like Denver just couldn’t make against a team like the Chiefs.
