Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe likely done for the season with elbow dislocation

Derek Wolfe’s career season has likely come to an end, coach Vic Fangio said Monday.

Wolfe dislocated his elbow in the fourth quarter on Sunday against the Chargers and did not return to the game. He is likely headed to injured reserve and finishes with a career-high 7 sacks, which leads the Broncos.

“I don’t think he needs surgery, but he did dislocate his elbow, and the time involved with that healing — and with where we’re at in the season — probably precludes him from playing anymore,” Fangio said.

The 29-year-old defensive end is in the final year of his four-year, $36.
