Broncos Briefs: Status of injured players remains uncertain leading into Week 8 game

The status of three players injured in Thursday’s win over Arizona remained uncertain Monday when the Broncos returned to work. Safety Darian Stewart (neck stinger), running back Royce Freeman (high ankle sprain) and receiver DaeSean Hamilton (right MCL sprain) did not finish the Cardinals game.

“(Stewart) is progressing along; we’ll see about him,” coach Vance Joseph said. “We’ll see how (Freeman) feels as the week moves along.”

Hamilton had a leg-length brace on as he walked through the locker room Monday.

Right tackle Jared Veldheer (knee), linebacker Shane Ray (ankle) and cornerback Adam Jones (thigh) all missed last week’s game.
